Be My Guest Lodge is situated in Bloubergstrand, the seaside village across the channel from Robben Island, yet conveniently close to the Mother City and all its attractions and activities.
Elegantly furnished and decorated, Be My Guest offers a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where guests can, at leisure, prepare for the next day’s many exciting events. The lodge also offers assistance with shuttle services and activities in and around the Cape Peninsula.
All rooms have either twin beds or double beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a private entrance and patio leading into a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. If you need accommodation for a family or group of friends, the Garden Cottage is ideal. It can accommodate up to 6 guests and is situated next to the pool.
This lovely guesthouse is a 15-minute drive from most of the major tourist attractions in and around Cape Town, such as The Waterfront, Table Mountain and many other exciting places to visit on the Peninsula.
With Cape Town international Airport 20 km away, guests also have easy access to the West Coast, the famous Boland Wine Routes, Worcester and the Ceres Mountain Range with its snow covered peaks during winter.

This comfortable, 6-sleeper cottage is situated in the garden next to the swimming pool. It features a double bed and 2 single beds in the loft and a double bed in the lounge area. It has a fully equipped kitchenette, a spacious lounge and a full bathroom.
Local area description
I would only mention that the interior is quite dated and powdered sugar for coffee is inadequate.

Die gasvryheid was uitstekend en was baie warm verwelkom. Die eienaar en gesin is wonderlike mense en sal dit beslis aanbeveel. Het dadelik tuis gevoel. Dit was nog ‘n uitstekende plekkie om by te wees. Ook die beste ooit. Wat altyd die belangrikste is omtrent oornag-slaapplekke is die gasvryheid en netheid van ‘n plek en hulle was beslis uitstekend.

When you book accommodation, you expect to receive everything you might need to make your stay smooth. Firstly, there were no essentials in the kitchen especially with a self-catering accommodation. The on-site cleaner was working in and out of the cabin we stayed in. When you leave your house to go away to enjoy yourself with friends, you want to have fun. We were not allowed to play music, curfew as if we are kids, not to mention the condition of the pool. Will not recommend it at all.

There was no soap, shampoo, shower cap etc. that I always receive and the basic things in the bathroom. I had to phone in to the house to get some body wash.

Die kamer is uiters netjies en gerieflik. Deon het uit sy pad gegaan om seker te maak dat alles reg is en my laat voel ek is die belangrikste gas. Ek sal defnitief weer in die toekoms daar oorbly. Dit was ‘n aangename ervaring.

Die gastehuis was maklik om te vind. Ligging was nie ideaal nie maar dit is nie te ver van sommige eetplekke. Die slaap eenhede is veilig maar die motorparkering is oop en karre is sigbaar van die straat af.

Be My Guest is ‘n gerieflike oornagplek vir besigheidsmanne of toeriste wat op pad is na ‘n volgende bestemming. Voertuie is veilig en dit was ‘n rustige omgewing om in tuis te gaan.

Na ons op kersaand byna in ons kamer beroof is deur ‘scam artists’ wat op een of ander manier toegang verkry het, was ons die res van ons verblyf maar ongemaklik hier. Ek het nie geweet of ek my waardevolle items eerder in die kamer of my motor wat buite die sekuriteitshek staan moet los nie. Verder was die kamer maar ‘mediocre’. Dis wel goed geleë, naby die strand en 2 winkelsentrums, met volop eetplekke naby.

Alhoewel net een nag was alles in plek. Weens omstandighede het ons eers twaalfuur die aand hier aangekom en nogtans het Greg uit sy pad gegaan om die beste vir ons te gee. Hy was baie geduldig, vriendelik en in alle opsigte hulpvaardig. Dis regtig ‘n lekker plek om te oornag.

Beperkte DStv-kanale; geen seep of sjampoe in die badkamer; geen filterkoffie by ontbyt beskikbaar. Gegewe dat ek bg. geriewe in hotelle in Afrika kon vind, was dit ‘n teleurstelling by dié fasiliteit. Die fasiliteite wat wel beskikbaar was, was van goeie gehalte.
